New Nugget Market to open in Placer County
Originally published in: FOX40Northern California grocery chain Nugget Markets announced it will open a new location at the Roseville and Granite Bay border that most recently was a big-box retailer.
The grocery company said the store at Douglas Boulevard and Sierra College Boulevard would open in the late summer of 2025 and that it would be its 18th location.
“…We are planning an entire makeover of the shopping center. Our goal, once we have remodeled the center, is for it to quickly become the gathering place or ‘town center’ of the Granite Bay neighborhood,” reads part of a statement from Eric Stille, the chairman of Nugget Markets’ board and growth officer for the company.
The intersection where the market will be located is at the boundary between the city of Roseville and the community of Granite Bay, a census-designated place.
The grocery will take over a space that was a Walmart Neighborhood Market up until April of 2024.
Another Nugget Markets location underway in Rocklin that is expected to open in the fall of 2025 will bring the company’s total number of stores in Placer County to four.
The company’s website reads that it has been family-owned since 1926 and is headquartered in Davis.
