Latin for "to break open," the Burgare features the classic, vinegar-based mixer known as shrubs. While trendy now, shrubs date back to the Colonial Era in America and were popular before the advent of refrigeration. 

Preparation

In a saucepan, heat apple juice and cinnamon until hot. Pour contents into large mug, then add bourbon and Tart Apple Shrub. Top with whipped cream and cinnamon for garnish.
