Honey Soy Shishito Peppers

The subtle sweetness of this simple dressing plays up the smoky, peppery notes of these mild peppers.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon chili paste or sauce
- 1 teaspoon furikake
- ½ pound shishito peppers
- ⅛ teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
Preparation
Preheat grill, grill pan or sauté pan over high heat.
Whisk together all the ingredients except for the peppers and sesame seeds.
Place peppers on the grill or pan in an even layer. Rotate peppers, charring the outside, for 3–5 minutes or until the peppers are golden brown all over and slightly wilted.
In a bowl, toss peppers with the dressing. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
